Very cool podcast J! :) It's one of my favorites! Your stories about Japan were very cool and I can't wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteAs for the console problem...eventhough this is too late by now, just go with the one you think you'll have the most fun with and get the most out of. From my experience talking with you and blogging with you over these last couple of years, it SEEMS like you would like the PS3 better, but I completely understand why you would want a 360, especially because most of your friends have one. But that's my two cents.
Merry Christmas and I'm sure I'll be saying that again when you make a post about it! :D
Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteThe difficult thing about deciding between the two is that there's not much in it between them. Especially with me not being fans of the console exclusive software.
As I said in the podcast: I may just let my Dad decide. He's made the best decisions in the past. Whether he meant to or not.
Maerry Christmas to you too!
Yeah, me personally, I'm loving the PS3, but that's because I love Little Big Planet and games like Ratchet and Clank and Metal Gear Solid (eventhough you still think it's getting ported :P). And I know I'll like God of War and Uncharted. And because I've played the demo about 5 times now, I know I'll love Valkyria Chronicles when I get it tomorrow :D. And as you said, with the PS brand, you know you're going to get strong 3rd party support and such.
ReplyDeleteBut you might want to hit Deitrix up, as he owns both consoles. ;)
But the thing with your dad is pretty ingenious and quite funny! XD
ReplyDeleteyo j! Its fourdee3, I say get the 360. I own both and play the xb much more. Like you said the xb is 'moar' robust.
ReplyDeleteIn the end, its not up to me though.
Happy Holidays mate. Happy Gaming.
You bump into someone and you bow. You sneeze and you bow. Lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd why did you take five trainers? Lol.
You know where I stand on the 360 vs ps3 front. And I know that what I say will not effect you Dad's decision. Just one thing to add to it. Online play. I know that you already mentioned it, but here's just a little bit more. Think about when you get Street Fighter IV (or other game that will be released on both platforms e.g Resi V). If you have a PS3 which of your friends will be able to play against? At least if you get a 360 you will be guarantee the fact that you could kick my ass every time you go online.
Now I'm not saying that all your friends have a 360 but I'm sure that most of them do.
Oh BTW does your Dad like George Foreman Grills? If he does you are getting yourself a PS3. =0)
Koobs
A PS3 seems like a better bet right now. I just don't trust Microsoft to not release another 360 within the space of a year. They'll probably drop a new 360 which has a Blu ray player and some other shit and I can't be dealing with that. At least I know with the PS3 that no newer version of it will drop for the longest time. Any new PS3 that comes out any time soon will only have a different sized hard drive or something like that. I imagine the next 360 model will feature some major changes to prevent Sony closing the gap between the PS3 and 360.
ReplyDeleteInteresting view of it. I've never though of it that way. I'm thinking Sony wouldn't want to drop another console until around 2012 or so. That wouldn't surprise me at all considering how they're trying to market the PS3 to be, as you said, "future proof".
ReplyDeleteThe new 360 I'm speaking off isn't a new console, just a revised version of the existing 360. But I could imagine it featuring some major changes: such as a Blu ray player.
ReplyDeletePlus, there's still the hardware failure issue. I can't be spending money on a console knowing it's going to clap out on me. It's like a time bomb. It could last 2 days, 2 months or 2 years - but it will mess up at some point.
Ah ok, I got'cha. And yeah, that's the main reason I'm wary of ever getting one (eventhough I probably never would anyway). Sure M$ fixes it for free (only if 3 of the 4 rings are red though right?), but if it happens multiple times (as I've heard it can), then that's just ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteSo with all this side talk...what did you get?!?!?!?! lol
Or do you not even know yet, lol.
